Join the Ohio Rail Experience for a unique train ride on Henry Ford’s Railroad the Detroit Toledo & Ironton from Jackson Center, Ohio to Washington Court House, Ohio and back. This approximately 160 mile round trip will take passengers south on the DT&I through the rolling countryside of west central Ohio. You’ll travel through Quincy where the train will cross CSX’s Indianapolis Subdivision, St. Paris, Springfield, Junction Yard ( Indiana & Ohio Railway’s freight yard on the south end of Springfield, South Charleston where the Pennsylvania Panhandle Route once crossed the DT&I at-grade and on to our destination at Washington Court House. Upon arrival in Washington Court House passengers will have the opportunity to de board the train and enjoy a layover. Everyone will re-board the train and travel back north to Jackson Center. The Ohio Rail Experience’s friendly passenger conductors and onboard staff will be happy to answer all of your questions and point out unique locations and landmarks along the way. Our Queen City Tavern concession car will be fully stocked with a wide array of options available for purchase during the journey. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to travel by train over a very historical railroad that once hauled coal and raw materials for automobiles from the Ohio River in Ironton, Ohio to the Ford River Rouge complex just outside of Detroit, Michigan.
